UTIPS is a effort by USOE to provide all school teachers in the State of Utah the ability to:
1. Assess, by multiple methods, student understanding of
a. Core Knowledge in all subjects (in preparation for CRT's)
b. ILO's for all Core Knowledge (Also assessed by CRT's)
c. Development of Communication Skills (CRT's and other assessments)
d. All other curriculum expanded on the foundation of the Core (CRT assessed)
2. Mechanically score and store of all classwork on all subjects.
a. Goal: allow teachers to assign all work on the Internet
b. Goal: Allow all students to submit all work on the Internet.
c. Goal: Free up teacher time to focus on curriculum development and presentation
(Note: A student can not make the computer report the completion of any assignment at a
different time than true time.)
